Pickrell Historical and Betterment Association is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the betterment of Pickrell for all community members and visitors. The Association is open to all who have an interest in seeing Pickrell prosper and grow.

The Association relies on the generosity of many volunteers and donors. In 2015, the Association was recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations provided to the Association are tax deductible.

The Purpose of the Association is to:
- Fund raise and complete community betterment projects within the Village of Pickrell;
- Erect, maintain, and beautify public parks, buildings and monuments within Pickrell; and
- Organize and fund an annual community celebration honoring the history and heritage of Pickrell.
Park Committee Betterment Projects:
- Replacement of the old park shelter with a larger facility, complete with a kitchen serving area and restrooms.
- Refurbishment of older play equipment and installation of new play equipment.
- Installation of decorative lighting within the park.
- Replacement of older, diseased trees and shrubbery.
- Construction of a new Veterans Memorial, located in the southwest corner of the park.
- New Project for 2021 - Community Center rehab
Picnic Committee Community Celebrations:
- Pickrell Picnic, annually held the first weekend in June - June 12-13, 2021
- Various fundraising, fun activities
